I'm an Olderberry:  mature, seasoned, advanced in years - but still frisky!

My interests are many and diverse, but topping the list would be science, technology, aviation, language & linguistics.

I read a lot -- mostly nonfiction, but I also enjoy literary fiction and the occasional thriller.

I write -- but far less than I did when I was young(er).

I enjoy music -- especially classic rock.  I play bass guitar.

I travel frequently.  I enjoy the outdoors.  I take lots of pictures.  For instance:

• I photograph all kinds of wild critters and birds.
• I take pictures of public buildings like post offices, libraries, town halls and courthouses.   
• I snap signs I see along the way.  

This blog is a repository for some of those snapshots.

Mixed in with the photos is a little commentary about this and that.  Nothing too serious -- just some observations by an Olderberry.
